Vladimir Putin's ideologue, Alexander Dugin, has again reacted to developments in Albania, this time calling for a unity of Albanians and Serbs against what he describes as the globalist elite of the European Union.

"Serbs and Albanians must fight together against the EU globalists," Dugin wrote on the X platform, in a message that comes after Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements about Russian influence in the protests of recent days.

In another post, Dugin wrote “The great European decline…”, while in a third he used the phrase “Arab Spring = European autumn. The decline of the West.”

The messages follow his previous response, in which he presented the Albanian people as a nation rediscovering its historical and spiritual identity, referring to Orthodox tradition, Sufi Islam, and Indo-European ancestry.

"Albanians are Indo-Europeans (Illyrians). A very strong people. Many Orthodox Christians. Deep Sufi Gnostic Islam," he wrote in another post.
