The Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime issued today 15 arrest warrants for the Tirana incinerator.

At least 8 of them have been executed so far, while the director of the Municipality of Tirana, Taulant Tushe, has also been put in handcuffs.

Jail arrest:

Lefter Koka, Alqi Blako, Mirel Mertiri, Klodian Zoto, Erjon Murataj, Bledar Karoli, Taulant Tusha, Namik Simixhiu, Jetmir Llapaj

Home arrest:

Alba Thoma, Valbona Ballgjini, Sidita Kopliku, Pëllumb Abeshi, Etleva Kondi, Sidita Tola.

On August 1, the Special Court at the request of SPAK signed the imposition of preventive sequestration against the company "Integrated Energy B.V. S.P.V.” sh.p.k", which is the concessionaire company of the Tirana incinerator as well as all the movable and immovable assets of this company.

Investigations have started within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 255 of 2020, for the criminal offenses of "Fraud with serious consequences" in cooperation, "Abuse of duty", "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials and " cleaning the products of the criminal offense or criminal activity".
