After about 2 and a half months, the Constitutional Court ruled today on the request submitted by the government regarding the decision of the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCOC), which in November 2025 decided to suspend Belinda Balluku from her duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.

After the meeting that began at 11:00, it was decided to dismiss the government's appeal, as the judges voted 4 in favor and 4 against.

Thus, the measure of suspension from duty of Belinda Balluku, which was lifted on December 12, 2025, by the same verdict of this court, is reinstated.

The Constitutional Court assessed that ministers are also subject to the law and must bear legal responsibility.
