The General Director of the State Police has ordered an investigation into the death of 42-year-old Egli Progë , who was raped to death by 29-year-old Denis Meçe .

After the reports about concealment of the event, after it was initially informed that the 42-year-old had accidentally fallen to the ground in a drunken state, Rrumbullaku has requested an inspection at the Local Police Directorate of Korça .

The General Director of the State Police orders an inspection at the Local Police Directorate, Korça, regarding the event in the city of Pogradec

Based on the State Police Regulation, the Director General of the State Police, Director Madhor Muhamet Rrumbullaku, ordered the Directorate of Professional Standards to carry out the evaluation of the implementation of the tasks of the structures in the Local Police Directorate, Korça, and in the Police Station of Pogradec, regarding the incident where, after a conflict, a 42-year-old man lost his life.

The Directorate of Professional Standards in the General Directorate of the State Police will evaluate the whole of the actions and reactions of the police officers, from the first moment of receiving the notification about the event, aiming to bring responsibility and responsible persons, if they result such.

The General Directorate of the State Police once again expresses its maximum commitment to the implementation of the law and the professional and integrity work of the police structures.
