22-year-old Gëzim Sinomati was killed yesterday evening in Vlora. He was shot by a sniper as soon as he went out on the balcony of his house to smoke a cigarette. A single bullet hit him in the head causing his death.
Investigative journalist Artan Hoxha uncovers the complicated past of the Sinomati tribe, especially his late father and uncle.
Here is what Hoxha writes:
The last event before last night's sniper killing of Gëzim Sinomat happened on January 3, 2022.
Opponents of Sokol Sinomati, known by the nickname "Buzderri", sent him a threatening message by placing a large amount of explosives in the family's vehicle. During the night, they were able to execute his 22-year-old son with a sniper.
The vehicle that blew up on the evening of January 3, 2022, was mainly used by Sokol Sinomat's relatives to move his elderly mother.
At the time of the explosion, the vehicle was parked outside the garage of the apartment, as work was being done there.
For this reason, there were no people in the apartment.
Meanwhile, Sokol Sinomati was arrested in Brussels prison in Belgium.
The vehicle legally belonged to the citizen Benard Sinomataj, the brother of Sokol Sinomataj, a character who has been abroad for years, but there have been a series of events against him and his group. Until last night's event, there were three people killed, while part of the 16 missing persons in 2016 are not included in this balance.
The family members themselves had taken measures against the events that happened in Vlora. Since the works are being done, the family members were not there and for this reason the car is parked outside until the works are finished. The target of the explosion was not any specific person, but the delivery of a message to the family members of Sokol Sinomataj.
The perpetrators of this explosive attack were never discovered and two years later we have the next victim, the murder of Sokol Sinomat's son, Gezimi, who was named after the uncle killed in 1997.
