Action in Theth to demolish illegal buildings

The operation to demolish illegal constructions in Theth, despite the opposition of residents, has continued today.

Unlike other days where there were fierce clashes between residents, police and IKMT, the situation on the sixth day was calmer, but tensions were not absent.

The situation became tense with the arrival of representatives of the Democratic Party, MP Luciano Boçi and the former mayor of Shkodra, Bardh Spahia, who, supporting the residents, attempted several times to break the police cordon, but without success.

The action was watched with curiosity by foreign tourists, who were standing on the balconies of other guesthouses.

So far, about 60 unauthorized buildings have been demolished in Theth, out of about 80 such buildings that have been identified in this area.

Meanwhile, the operation will not be interrupted even during the night until 80 buildings have been demolished.
