A 43-year-old man has been arrested by police in Tirana after being accused of theft.
According to the police, Klajdi Muhametaj , on January 21, is suspected of having broken into an amount of money and several documents at the Albanian post office on "Kujtim Laro" street and of having attempted to rob a bank branch.
Also, in October and November of last year, he stole amounts of money and products from 4 bars in different areas of the capital.
Police searched his apartment where they found stolen money, clothing he allegedly used during the thefts, and hard objects he used to open doors.

6 cases of theft/attempted theft, suspected of being committed by a 43-year-old man, have been solved over the last 2 days and during 2025.
A 43-year-old man, previously convicted of theft, is arrested and handcuffed.
A sum of money suspected of being stolen, clothing allegedly used by the 43-year-old during the thefts, and hard objects he used to open doors were seized.
In continuation of the work to solve cases of property theft, identify the perpetrators, apprehend them and bring them to justice, the services of the Serious Crimes Investigation Section, in cooperation with Police Station No. 4, have organized and finalized the operation codenamed "Objective", as a result of which the following citizen was identified, apprehended and arrested:
-KM, 43 years old, resident of Tirana, suspected of being the author of 6 cases of theft/attempted theft, specifically:
-on 21.01.2026, he is suspected of having broken into and stolen a sum of money and several documents at the Albanian post office on "Kujtim Laro" street, and of having attempted to steal at a bank branch;
-on 09.10.2025 and 26.11.2025, he stole amounts of money and products from 4 bars in different areas of Tirana.
During a search of the 43-year-old's apartment, police found a large amount of suspected stolen money, clothing he allegedly used during the thefts, and hard objects he used to open doors.
Investigations are ongoing to uncover and document other thefts that this citizen may have committed.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
