Lawyer Arben Llangozi has published a video of a serious incident at Syri i Kaltër.

According to him, a citizen from Kukës is suspected of brutally raping a citizen with the initials AL, who was performing the duty of renting out electric bicycles.

"A serious incident has been recorded in the Blue Eye tourist area in Saranda, where a citizen from Kukës is suspected of brutally raping a citizen with the initials AL, who was working as an electric bicycle rental service.

According to the information provided, the conflict started after the citizen lost his electric bike card. Instead of resolving the situation in a normal manner, he raised his voice and then physically attacked AL, punching him and hitting him in the head with stones.

The heaviest blow was to the head and could have been fatal. AL managed to defend himself by placing his hands in front of his head, taking the main blow to both hands, which were reportedly broken. He also suffered serious injuries to his head and other parts of his body.

The suspected perpetrator immediately fled the scene and is still being sought by the Police. There are no reports of his arrest at this time.

The case is made even more worrying by the fact that this tourist area is suspected to have previously experienced repeated episodes of violence, but without a strong and definitive reaction from the responsible institutions. The failure to immediately arrest the perpetrators creates a sense of impunity and increases the risk that such events will be repeated.

The attack occurred due to the duty performed by the AL and in the presence of foreign tourists, family members and children, severely damaging the security and image of one of the most popular tourist destinations in Albania.

"This case cannot be closed with just a free trial. The Police and the Prosecution must act immediately to capture and arrest the suspected perpetrator, administer the video footage, seize the vehicle used in the attack and bring him to criminal responsibility," writes Llangozi.
