The murder of 40-year-old Aleksandër Koçeku in the Dukagjini area is being investigated by police, focusing on an old family conflict from 2017.
Preliminary suspicions are related to a possible revenge after the execution of Angjelin Shkambi , an event for which today's victim's brother was convicted.
Koçek was killed by a Kalashnikov volley on Saturday evening in the village of Lin, along the Kir-Prekal axis.
He was found dead inside his vehicle after a local resident noticed the car had lost control and notified the police.
A preliminary examination of the scene revealed that an ambush had been set up against the 40-year-old.
The perpetrators, still unidentified, are suspected of being aware of his movements and waiting for the right moment to carry out the assassination.
