Amal Naim, a resident of Gaza, is living proof of what is happening in Palestine. She was invited to the show "Opinion", where she talked about what she experienced in Gaza, since Amal has just been repatriated.
She said that she went to Gaza in 1998 with her family. At that time it was her father's dream.
"We went to visit to meet my father's family after 30 years for the first time in his life," she said.
Amal emphasized that they went to the area of Beit Hanoun, in the north of Gaza, on the border with Israel.
"We settled there, big family. I started studies there. I started work. I studied nursing", she said.
Amal is married to a Palestinian and has four children. Her brother also has four children, who has not been able to return to Albania. Both were born here together, but have not returned since the moment they went to Gaza.
"I saw many wars. It is not the first war I have experienced in Gaza. This is the most terrible war I have experienced," Amal added.
Amal told about Blendi Fevziu the first moments when the war started.
"Very difficult. The situation was very bad. My house was bombed twice in 2014 and this year. This is where we were going on the way and it is at Al-Shifa hospital. We had gathered in this place waiting to find a car or a way to go south to Gaza. The first night when the war started, it was unexpected, they sent us through mobile phones leaving the house. They announced that you leave the house, leave the city because your city will be bombed. We went out in the middle of the night between the bombings with the four children. Not just me, the whole family, the whole town. In the middle of the night, running, crying, we couldn't even get the loot because they were bombing. With fear, the children were crying, I told them, don't be afraid, mom, pray, God, protect us", said Amali, who has her eldest daughter in the second year of high school, her son is 13 years old and the other two daughters are 10 and 8 years old.
As for food, she said that they lived on subsidies.
"We took something with us from home. When we went to other schools, with canned fish and canned meat, sausages. They brought us help there. Bread was very difficult to buy bread. There was no bread because there was no gas for the bread ovens to work, there was no fuel. Long queues to buy bread because they gave it to us in rationing so that there would be enough for other people," she said.
Meanwhile, mosques have been bombed in Gaza. As a result of the heavy bombardment, Amal added, many people in Gaza have hearing problems.
"We lost our hearing from the bombing. All these wars that many have gone through themselves, children, people have lost their hearing. A big problem in Gaza became the problem of hearing from the bombings", she said.
Returned to Albania with children, Amal Naim: Brother and husband did not cross the Gaza border
Amal Naim returned to Albania with her children, but left behind her husband and brother.
Amal Naim confesses that her husband could not cross the Gaza border, as he did not have an Albanian passport, while his brother decided to stay because of his wife, who also did not have a passport to come to Albania.
Amal Naim: They only gave me a pass.
Blendi Fevziu: Albanian authorities?
Amal Naim: Albanian authorities, to get out of Gaza. They even took me, they told me that we can't do anything about the man because he doesn't...
Blendi Fevziu: He is not an Albanian citizen.
Amal Naim: It didn't even work for my brother's wife.
Blendi Fevziu: Brother, why did he stay in Gaza?
Amal Naim: For his wife.
Blendi Fevziu: For the woman? Because they could not extradite the wife?
Amal Naim: No, they couldn't take him out like my husband. That is, she does not have a Palestinian passport.
Blendi Fevziu: Albanian passport?
Amal Naim: Neither Palestinian nor Albanian means the identity card...
Blendi Fevziu: Yes, the identity card. You mean he doesn't have a passport at all?
Amal Naim: Yes.
Blendi Fevziu: So it was impossible to leave the territory of Gaza?
Amal Naim: It was impossible to get out of there.
