Fire outbreak in Pilur, Himara, air intervention expected
Fire in Pilur

A fire has broken out in the Piluri area of Himara, endangering the area's numerous olive groves.

Due to the difficult mountainous terrain, firefighters are working with manual tools and backpack pumps.

It is reported that there is expected to be helicopter intervention from the air to bring the flames under control, which could spread due to strong winds of catastrophic proportions for the area.

The situation remains difficult as firefighters on the scene work to prevent the fire from spreading.
