For several days, the mammography machine at the Oncology Hospital of the University Hospital Center  has been out of order.

Women who present for medical check-ups are instructed to only have a breast ultrasound examination, due to a technical defect in the equipment.

There is no information yet on when it will be fixed, writes Report TV .

Women cannot have mammograms  during the month of October, known as " Pink October ", when doctors call for screenings for the prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
