A hearing is being held today in the Special Appeal for the president of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. The latter is requesting a change in the security measure.
SPAK claims that corruption schemes and abuses of power were uncovered during the investigations. In addition to Meta and Kryemadhi, three other people have been sent to trial.
On August 29, the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office closed the investigations and sent Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi to trial, on charges of passive corruption, money laundering, and failure to declare assets.
