Samanda Toçka comes to Grida Duma Podcast with a heartfelt story about a family scattered around the world, the economic difficulties and disappointment of a generation seeking to build the future in Albania.

"We don't want to burn anything! They haven't listened to us!", says Samanda, explaining through tears the revolt of young people protesting for more opportunities and a better life.

Only 22 years old, she reveals the difficulties of coping with life in Tirana, where out of a salary of 500 thousand old lek, 400 thousand go to rent. "I work seven days a week! I couldn't see my family," she confesses, while asking how a young person can buy an apartment with this income.

Samanda also talks about the disappointment after trying to find a job in administration, where, according to her, personal acquaintances often seem to be worth more than degrees.

"I'm 22 years old, I don't know how a government is formed! Nothing is invisible!" she says, conveying the message of a generation that wants to be heard.

A story beyond protest, about unrealized dreams, family, and the desire not to be forced to leave your country.
