
Two people have been arrested in Durrës for driving while intoxicated and, in order to avoid an alcohol test, offering sums of money to Traffic Police officers.
During the monitoring, on "Adria" road and in Sukth, two vehicles were observed performing dangerous maneuvers on the road and were immediately stopped.
At the moment when the Traffic Police officers asked the drivers to perform an alcohol test, the two drivers, citizens Sh. D. and A. Sh ., attempted to bribe the Traffic Police officers by offering sums of money, specifically 2,000 and 5,000 new lek, to avoid performing the alcohol test.
The alcohol test conducted on the driver of the vehicle on “Adria” street, citizen Sh. D., showed that he was driving while intoxicated, at a level of 1.13 mg/l. While the driver of the vehicle in Sukth showed that he was driving while intoxicated, at a level of 0.55 mg/l.
Also, during the monitoring on "Vllazërimi" street, a vehicle was found to be driven by citizen AR, 44 years old, who, from the alcohol test, resulted in driving the vehicle while intoxicated, at a level of 0.79 mg/l.
During the monitoring on "Miqësia" street, a vehicle driven by citizen HK, 22 years old, was found to be driving without a driving license and under the influence of alcohol, at a level of 0.55 mg/l.
At the end of the procedural actions, citizens Sh. D., 61 years old, A. Sh., 51 years old, AR, 44 years old and HK, 22 years old, were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Irregular driving".
