Today, the final farewell is given to Artur Zheji, tributes to the journalist

Today, the final farewell is given to journalist and publicist, Artur Zheji.

The tributes are being held from 10:00 to 12:00, at the University of the Arts, where Zheji studied directing and began his artistic journey.

Relatives, friends, colleagues, and well-known media and political figures will be present to pay their last respects, before he is escorted to his final resting place at the Tufina Cemetery.

Zheji passed away suddenly on Saturday, after a cardiac arrest in Saranda. His passing at the age of 64 left a significant void in Albanian public life.

With a family heritage closely linked to art and knowledge, the son of scholar Petro Zheji and actress Besa Imami, Artur Zheji brought depth, courage and a sharp mind to Albanian media life. From screenwriting and dramaturgy, to journalism and political analysis, he contributed throughout his career in a unique and irreplaceable way.

Since 2017, he has hosted the show “360 Degrees,” a debate space that has become a reference for the most important discussions in the country. In a reflection last year, Zheji called death “The Magnificent Lady, the absolutely incorruptible” – a description that today takes on a different meaning.
