The Ministry of Defense has provided information regarding the situation from the fires in the country. 23 hotbeds are active from Mirdita, in Saranda, Delvina, Poliçan, Gramsh, Tepelena and Gërmenj i Kolonja.

Situation from fires in the country

After the engagement of emergency forces, the situation from the fires appears stabilized in many problem areas. Currently, 23 active fires have been reported.

Work is being done in the following areas:

* Blue Eye (Delvina) – Work continues to extinguish the fire in the heights of Mount Sopot. There are 67 fire brigades with 11 vehicles, 30 municipal forces, 80 FA officers with 10 vehicles, 6 ambulances and 30 support forces in the field. The Italian aircraft "Canadair" is also in support.

* Pecë, Sirikat, Kardhikaq (Finiq) – A hearth on the surface with bushes and forests, is being kept under observation by local structures.

* Kuç (Himarë) – Fire in the forest area, the fire brigade is operating.

* Brataj (Selenica) – Fire in bushes and forests, firefighters in the field.

* Mountain with Pits, Val (Bulqizë) – Two hearths in a protected area, rugged terrain; is being monitored by AdZM employees and volunteer forces.

* Trnovo (Bulqiza) – Fire in dense forests, in operation 8 firefighters, forestry, municipal and FA forces, with support from a helicopter.

* Zhapokikë, Plashnik, Balloll Reserve (Poliçan) - Fast-spreading fire, 20 residents were evacuated yesterday. Firefighters, AdZM employees, military forces and 3 helicopters (2 from the United Arab Emirates and 1 from the Czech Republic) are operating in the field.

* Velçan (Berat) – After the engagement since noon, with interventions from the ground and from the air, it has been possible to avoid the danger to the apartments in Velçan, Municipality of Berat. The situation is being closely monitored by AKMC, as 20 additional officers of the Armed Forces and 2 helicopters of the Air Force will continue to operate until the complete neutralization of the hearth.

* Orizaj (Skrapar) – Fire in the bushes, without danger to apartments, under monitoring.

* Vokopolë (Poliçan) – Low-intensity hotbeds, under monitoring.

* Mbrakull (Poliçan) – Calm and under control situation.

* Ibë (Tirana) – Fire brought under control, the danger to the apartments was avoided.

* Damjan-Fortuzaj and Isufaj (Tirana) – Vatra put under control, without danger to the apartments.

* Ferraj and Zall-Herr (Tirana) – Vatra has been brought under control, after a very difficult job due to the terrain.

* Spanesh, Kazie (Rrogozhinë) – Isolated fire, under observation.

* Dhuvjan, Lugar, Frashtan (Dropull) – Fire under control, the situation is calm.

* Hormovë (Tepelena) – Fire in the heights of Golik Peak; another hearth near RTSH antennas is being kept under monitoring.

* Kullollas, Kodovjat, Ermenj (Gramsh) – The spread towards the village of Narta has been stopped, after the work of the forces. In the field, firefighters, municipal forces, FA and volunteers.

* Mukaj, Sojnik (Gramsh) – Fire in bushes and bushes, homes are not endangered; firefighters, FA and volunteers in the field.

* Kunorë Dardhë – Laku Klyz, Sakat Plain (Fushë Arrëz) – The situation is aggravated, the fire is progressing in difficult terrain towards mountainous areas. Over 150 municipal, forestry, volunteer and armed forces of the Armed Forces are in operation.

* Gërmenj (Kolonja) – Fire in pine forests, operated by the fire brigade.

* Velës (Mirdita) – Fire in the pine forest, on the ground firefighters, municipal, forest and volunteer fireforces, with difficulties due to the density of vegetation.
