The lawyers of the defendants described the court's decision as mostly fair, while warning that they will appeal the decision for the persons remaining in prison and under house arrest.

"Out of the 16 arrested, the court decided on prison terms for three people, house arrest for two people, meanwhile, for 11 women, it decided to set the measure of security obligation to appear. It was a very fair decision overall. The case shows the extraordinary situation in which the Albanian society finds itself, where 12 ladies have been in prison for three days. The judge of the case was Izabela Radovani, while the prosecutor was Albulena Kuliqi.

The operation took place on October 12, where 16 people were arrested. Women from Tirana, Kamza and Fushë Kruja had traveled to Shkodra to work with sativa cannabis.

They were caught in the apartment of 31-year-old Pjetër Gjoni, in the village of Bardhaj, which had been turned into a laboratory for the cultivation of narcotic plants.

The illegal work was found by 42-year-old Danjela Hasani from Tirana, convicted 3 times before for this criminal activity.

10- Franga Gini, 52 years old, resident of Kamez, obligation to appear

11- Hurme Bafti, 47 years old, resident of Kamez, obligation to appear

12- Mimoza Hoti, 51 years old, resident of Kombinat, obligation to appear

13- Elida Doku, 43 years old, resident of Fushë Krujë, obligation to appear

14- Blerina Meta, 37 years old, resident of the village of Fushë Krujë, obligation to appear

15- Valbona Haka, 45 years old, resident of Fushë Krujë, obligation to appear

16- Fatima Baftaj, 53 years old, resident of Kamez, obligation to appear
