To guarantee the success of the work of the Summit between the European Union and the Western Balkans that will be held in Tirana on December 6, more than 1200 police officers will be engaged. The summit that brings together the leaders of the old continent will be held in the private premises of the National Arena.

A2CNN writes that a part of the officers will accompany the delegations from "Mother Teresa" International Airport to the center of the capital. After their arrival in Tirana, except for staff and accredited persons, it will be impossible to pass the security perimeter that starts from the Prime Minister's Office in the direction of the Palace of Congresses and around the "Air Albania" stadium. After the official reception of the delegations by the head of the Albanian government, the meeting with closed doors is scheduled to start at around 10:30.

And on December 6, the Democratic Party led by Sali Berisha called a national protest. The chief democrat has declared that the protest will be calm and peaceful. The protest called by Berisha was also supported by his ally in the opposition, the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. Meanwhile, this protest seems to 'divide' the opposition even further, since the head of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, has declared that he will not participate.
