The abduction and murder of Jan Prenga, the Supreme Court returns to review the case in GJKKO

The Supreme Court has overrides the decision of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organised Crime regarding the conviction of Festim Bexhdil and Olsi Turja for the kidnapping and murder of Jan Prenga.

The trial body composed of Sokol Binaj, Albana Boxing and Sandër Simoni decided to return the case for reconsideration in the same court, but with other court bodies.

On 20 March 2023, the Appeal of Posacëm left in force the first-degree decision on the sentence of Celebration Bijdil, the gardener of the 'Golden' complex, as well as olsi Turja.

Festim Bexhdil was sentenced from the first degree to life in prison. While Olsi Turjan sentenced him to 3 years in prison for the criminal offense "Acts that prevent the discovery of the truth" committed in cooperation, but the sentence was considered carried out, as he was long standing in the 'house arrest' mode.

Jan Prenga was kidnapped on January 17, 2020 in Kamaz, then killed, but his body has not been found.
