Citizens do not stop, gather on the 43rd day in front of the Prime Minister's Office

The civic protest against the Rama government continues its 43rd day.

Thousands of citizens have gathered on the boulevard in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Protest participants have announced that the rallies will continue in the coming weeks, until the demands made are met.

Among them, the main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a change in the way the political class functions.

The list of citizens' demands includes:

The resignation of the prime minister and the government, described by the protesters as non-negotiable.
The creation of a transitional, non-partisan technical government with a 12-month mandate.

Constitutional amendments to guarantee equality before the law and reform the political system, through a process that is also required to pass a popular referendum. These amendments include a revision of the Electoral Code, the financing of political parties, and the limitation of the prime minister's mandates.

Cancellation of changes to the law on protected areas and cultural heritage, repeal of the Mountain Package and revision of the legal framework for strategic investments.

Drafting a new social contract between citizens and the state, after consulting with experts, intellectuals and independent citizens.
