The Special Court accepted the request of the lawyers of former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, for the latter to provide explanations, if he consents, in the "Buka" process.

Ahmetaj may testify via audio or video conference regarding the charge of abuse of power for the privatization of the former Buka factory.

At this Wednesday's session, the prosecutor in the case, Elvin Gogaj, presented requests for documentary evidence and those with witnesses.

He said that the Prosecution accuses Ahmetaj of intentionally abusing his office and failing to implement a court decision, even though he was aware of it.

In the next session, businessman LF, who benefited from privatization, was called to testify, while the Myderizi family, as well as former Minister of Finance, Shkëlqim Cani, are also on the list.

The next session was scheduled for February 24th.

For this file, prosecutor Elvin Gogaj has also registered a money laundering faction, related to a transfer of 3 million euros to Austria, for which verifications of the movement of money have begun.
