2 entities discovered in Dimal where vehicle parts smuggled from the UK were dismantled and sold, owner arrested!

Two entities were discovered in Dimal where smuggled vehicle parts were dismantled and sold, mainly from the United Kingdom.

As a result of the controls, operational and investigative work, with a focus on ascertaining and cracking down on cases of carrying out economic activities, informally and/or with smuggled products, specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the Special Operational Force and in coordination with the Berat Prosecutor's Office, finalized the operation codenamed " Dismantling ".

As part of the operation, citizen PD, 30 years old, resident of Dimal, was arrested in flagrante delicto, and citizen RS, 31 years old, resident of Kuçova, was declared wanted.

During the checks at their premises ( vehicle service/vehicle parts sales ), 55 and 13 vehicles ( partially dismantled ) were found, respectively , for which neither purchase nor customs documents were available.
The vehicles are suspected to be smuggled, mainly from the United Kingdom.

Efforts are underway to capture the RS citizen.

The procedural materials were referred to the Berat Prosecutor's Office for further action.
