The Prosecutor of Tirana, Julian Xhengo, has been dismissed from office. The decision was taken today by the Independent Qualification Commission.

Xengo has been fired after resulting problems with the richness and purity of the image. 25 public complaints have been made against Xhengo, while the KPK has found delays in the investigations.

On September 9, Xhengo faced the KPK where he gave explanations on wealth, figure and professionalism.

During that hearing, Xhengo was faced with a negative balance of his parents' investments in a private house in Tirana, as well as discrepancies in the transactions for the purchase of a car, almost twice cheaper than the seller had bought it.

Julian Xhengo completed his studies at the Magistrate's School in 2007 and first worked in the prosecutor's office of Vlora and Fier. Since 2008, Xhengo worked in the Tirana District Prosecutor's Office.
