But two days after he surrendered, a security measure was imposed on him, requiring him to appear twice a month at the Prosecutor's Office. The prosecution did not agree with the decision given, as during the session held behind closed doors, it requested a prison sentence. Mata was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon without a permit.

From the fight in 2018 in the area of ??the former Block, in the bar "Monopol", Fabjan Gaxha lost his life, while Ervis Martinaj and his relative Eljo (Esmerald) Hato were injured. A few hours after the event, Geldo Hoti, a friend of Ervin Mata, was arrested in an attempt to leave for Greece.

Bilo was sentenced to 7 years in prison for wounding and possession of weapons without a permit, but after the shortened trial, his sentence was reduced to 4 years and 8 months in prison. However, even though he is wanted to this day and has never been arrested in connection with this event, Bilo will not serve a single day in prison, as the Tirana court has decided to convert the prison sentence to 4 years and 8 months of probation.

In the reasoning of the court, it is stated that Merrviol Bilo reacted with a weapon because his life was in danger and was tried for wounding in self-defense. The dismissal of the charge for the murder of Fabiol Gaxha is done because it is argued that it was under the conditions of extreme protection. According to the prosecution, it is a fact that the former commando's life was endangered the night of the incident in the former Block.
