Between tears and threats! The first Albanian library in Monastery: I can't
Emira Selimi

Albanian student Emira Selimi, who took the initiative to open the first Albanian library in Bitastir, North Macedonia, the birthplace of the Albanian alphabet, was today through a Skype link on the show "Invitation to 5".

Amid tears and strong emotions, Emira told how her life has been in danger since the day she announced the initiative.

She claimed to have received threats and blackmails consistently, citing the indifference of local institutions in The Monastery.

15,000 Albanian books, according to her, are not allowed to cross the border to the library, because these books are considered a danger.

Among other things she showed that kosovo president Vjosa Osmani has found it difficult to pass books in Albanian to North Macedonia.
