Eleven people were arrested in Tirana on Monday in a major police operation on the orders of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) for the crackdown on a structured criminal group.
Among those arrested is the former director of Tirana Police, Erzen Brecani, while an arrest warrant has been issued for his son, Jehon Brecani.
VoxNews.al learns that the SPAK arrests were ordered after the messages were intercepted by the encrypted sky ecc app.
Brecan is accused of "supporting the perpetrator" and "money laundering".
VoxNews.al learns that the arrest warrant has also been issued for the chief of crime of The 6th Commissioner, Dedan Gjoni. The latter has been filed several charges of serious criminal offenses, such as providing conditions to commit murder.
