One of the most sensational arrests that took place in the city of Vlora during the month of August 2022, has been turned into a criminal file for the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office in Tirana.

It is about a case related to the arrest of 35-year-old Amarildo Nikolli alias Xhanej from Shkodra, who was caught with a pistol with a silencer in his belt in Vlora during an attempt to kill a character of the underworld in this city.

"Ora News" has learned that Nikolli has agreed to speak in front of SPAK prosecutors, showing the names of some characters of the world of crime in Vlora, Tirana and Shkodër.

His testimony was initially taken into consideration, but after placing the eavesdropper in the premises where he was kept isolated, it turned out that there was something wrong as Nikolli was allegedly pushed by someone else to give that statement to the prosecutors.

Despite this situation, the case against Amarildo Nikolli continues to be held at SPAK, as the prosecutors of the case are evaluating his testimony.

Up to this stage of the investigation, SPAK still has not evaluated to give the status of collaborator of the prosecution to 35-year-old Amarildo Nikolli. This is because it takes time for his statements to be proven and to convince the investigators.

But Nikolli continues to be one of the witnesses on the horizon of SPAK.

Initially, the case against Nikolli was handled by the Court of Vlora on the charge of "Unauthorized Possession of Weapons and Ammunition", while preliminary information showed that Amarildo Nikolli had traveled from Italy to Albania to commit a paid murder in the city of Vlora.

On the day of his arrest, Nikolli was accompanied in the premises of a Pasticceria in "Lungomare" with two other people who were able to escape capture by the local police.

But while he was under investigation for several months by the police and the prosecutor's office of Vlora, the latter a little while ago announced the incompetence and the case of Amarildo Nikolli, he took it to the SPAK special prosecutor's office for further investigations.

The special prosecutor's office has launched investigations into the charge of "Premeditated murder" remaining in the attempt committed in the form of "Structured criminal group" and "Unauthorized possession of firearms".
