In a confession to Euronews Albania, she denied having had an intimate relationship with the aggressor while emphasizing that he had been stalking her for a long time.

" I had nothing to do with him, as the media say. They are lies. I had nothing to do with it. The day the incident happened, I was with my nephew in the hospital, he came and followed me. As soon as I came out, he blocked my way and I told him: don't follow me, I have nothing to do with you anymore. He asked me something that I cannot say here. Yes, he asked me for sex. And coffee. I told him I'm not coming. I pushed it with my hands. He took out the knife and said he will kill you. He put the knife in his throat, I pushed him, he dropped the knife, he laid me on the ground, I will stab you, he said. I kept it. At the moment he committed the crime, he raised his head and saw someone. I don't know who he was waiting for, who he was going to kill me with ," she said.
