Almost a month ago, the Ministry of Education drafted the new regulation of the State Matura, already published on the official website.
After many years where only the dates were changed, with the recently undertaken reform, some innovations have been implemented regarding the rights of the Graduates, the environments where the exams are held, up to the correction or evaluation of theses.
From this year, in addition to the right to receive a copy of the thesis of the exam from which they were dissatisfied, the high school graduates have a right that was denied in a decade and a half of the state exam. The minister herself has admitted that although the test passes through the hands of two correctors, mistakes are human and graduates should no longer be deprived of this right. Thus, the point where no thesis reassessment is required has been replaced by the opposite. Graduates can dispute the result one day after they are familiar with it. "The graduate/candidate has the right to request a photocopy of the test, one day after the announcement of the preliminary results of all exams.
The graduate/candidate, after being provided with a photocopy of the test, has the right to submit the request for re-evaluation of the test to the KSHMSH of the school where he was registered as a graduate, on July 3. The photocopies of the tests submitted to KSHMSH are reviewed by two subject teachers determined by KSHMSH (if a school does not have two subject teachers, the review will be done only by one subject teacher)", it is quoted in the regulation of the State Matura for the year 2023.
According to this document, the teachers specially assigned for this work will do the first filter of the complaint, after having reviewed the thesis only for the complained questions and decide whether the tests should be passed for re-evaluation to the Educational Services Center. The re-evaluation procedure is the same as that of the test evaluation, but in the end it is possible that the result will be the same after the re-evaluation. the procedure also has deadlines. From the application to the response, no more than four days should pass. "The final results of the matriculation exams after the re-evaluation process are announced no later than July 7", it is stated in the regulation.
In the regulations, the point where the graduate can report directly to the administrator things that he notices is wrong during the testing process, such as copying or noise, has been removed. "When the graduate/candidate notices any violation of the exam regulations, he has the right to inform the administrator and the MASR representative", it was stated in the old regulation. Such a point is no longer. Graduates caught with cell phones are automatically disqualified and can only retake the test in the next fall session.
This presupposes that in addition to finding large halls for testing, administrators should also think about an environment for graduates who manage to close the thesis before the allotted time. Unlike previous years, the tests this year are planned to take place in large halls, such as corridors or sports halls. Also, the answer sheet that had to be filled in at the end of the test will no longer be available. In addition to consuming a lot of time, in quite a few cases, due to time pressure or emotions, graduates were confused by writing the correct answer in the test and circling the incorrect one on the final answer sheet, which was corrected electronically./Panorama
