The brother of Anri Kashik, the young man who drowned yesterday in Durrës, has narrated the whole incident.

"We went to the sea with my neighbor who is also my friend and my older brother. There we also have other friends who work at the beach, waiters and at the tents. My friend and I went to swim in the sea. We know swimming very well because we often go to the beach and mostly in that area.

We walked a little deeper because there on the shore the sea was cloudy. The sea had many waves. We went a few meters away, but when we were returning, the waves were not allowing us to go out, taking us to the depths.

There we were calling, help-help, but no one was listening to us because there was a very strong wind. My brother's friend who works at the tents saw us. We were in bad shape as the waves were taking us and we were drinking a lot of water as we were being dunked. Igli, the guard and his brother came quickly, followed by a pedalo.

They put us up in the boat and then took us ashore. The moment we boarded the boat, the boat was also flooding and we got ashore with difficulty from what I remember. Meanwhile, the brother did not manage to climb into the boat. Then they sent us to the hospital. We found out later that the brother had drowned. We all knew how to swim very well because we are residents of the area and we are close to the sea. I don't know how it is possible that the brother could not get ashore. We go to the beach almost every day because we have friends, Igli who lives in the tower is a friend of my brother, we also know the other chunas who work there, that's why we frequent that place", he declared.
