Igli Shahinaj, the coast guard in Durrës where 18-year-old Anri Kashiku lost his life after entering the sea to save his brother and his minor friend, has spoken to the media.

He said that there was a sign that no one was allowed to enter the sea, but then he acted to help them, together with Anri Kashiku and the umbrella worker.

After pulling out the two minors, Shahini says they went back to rescue the third person, but only saw the hat. Kashiku was pulled out of the sea 1 hour and a half after the serious incident.

" We were on duty with signals so that no one was allowed to enter the sea. At one point, I couldn't see them enter, but when I saw them, I ran straight away to give them help, together with his brother and another, when we took the two children, we started to give them first aid.

We went looking for the third person but we found a hat. The body was found after an hour and a half. It is part-time here, but at lunchtime we are not on duty ," he said.
