Investigations into the illegal complex at Rana e Hedhun are closed, 9 people are sent for trial

The Lezha Prosecutor's Office has closed the investigations and sent for trial the criminal file regarding the unauthorized constructions in the Rana e Hedhur area in Shëngjin, where 9 people have been charged in this matter.

Charges of "Abuse of office" have been filed against the three former heads of the State Cadastre Agency in Lezha, Gentian Malota, Artur Shabaku and Admir Maxhani.

The two former heads of the Territorial Protection Inspectorate, Colonel Malaj and Flori Gjini, as well as the police officer of the Shëngjin area, Martin Ndoka, will also face trial for the same charge.

The builder Pjetër Tuçi has also been charged with the criminal offenses "Illegal construction" and "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms", as well as the two construction engineers, Luiza Bala and Hekuran Xhina, for the criminal offense "Forgery of documents".

Referring to criminal proceeding file no. 135 of 2025, investigated by prosecutor Iva Harka, it has been proven that 9 people have committed elements of criminal offenses and it will now be the judge of the preliminary hearing, Lirim Bulica, who will decide whether or not to proceed with this case for trial.

The investigations conducted show that in the Rana e Hedhun area, the construction of a complex without a permit was allowed and then it was legalized in violation of the law.
