After about seven hours of intensive work, the blocked segment of the Librazhd-Prrenjas national road, which was temporarily closed after hundreds of cubic meters of rocks and soil were spilled onto the road, as a result of a rock massif sliding down the hillside, has been reopened to traffic.
The slope where the landslide occurred is part of the works for the construction of a segment of the new road route, within the framework of the project known as Corridor VIII, where the company "ANK" sh.pk is currently operating.
Thanks to the immediate intervention of heavy vehicles and the engagement of teams on the ground, it was possible to completely clear the road and resume vehicle traffic in both directions.
Road authorities call on drivers to exercise increased caution while driving in this area, to respect road signs and warnings, especially in segments where works are ongoing.
The opening of the road came after an emergency intervention aimed at guaranteeing the safety of passengers and the fastest possible return to normal traffic on this important connecting axis between Librazhd and Prrenjas.
