One of the people arrested for the cocaine seized in Fier the night before, hidden in bags of chemical fertilizer, is Bledar Matoshi.

The latter is known for his connections with one of the most well-known characters of the world of crime who currently resides in Dubai and has been previously booked for cocaine trafficking.

Matoshi was stopped on Arbri street together with some of his friends, weapons were found in their vehicle. It is suspected that Matoshi and his friends would receive the cargo from Fieri, to then process the drugs.

How did the event happen?

The amount of chemical fertilizer, where 430 kg of cocaine were hidden, was loaded in May 2022 into a container in Colombia and via a transport ship it left for the port of Piraeus/Greece where it arrived at the beginning of July 2022. From there by transport ship after It was sent to the port of Bari in Montenegro for 3 days and was transported to Albania by truck in September 2022.

All the while, this cargo was kept under 24-hour surveillance by the authorities. This is in order to fully identify the collaborators, who participated in the preparation of the documentation about the opening in Albania of the company that would carry out the transportation and delivery of the "load" in which it was suspected that the narcotic substance of the cocaine type was mixed, the payments carried out for its purchase, transportation and customs clearance, the persons who would take care of receiving and receiving the cargo in Albania, the people who would take care of keeping, storing and extracting the suspected narcotic substance from the amount of "organic fertilizer", and who were the specialized persons who would enable this process to be carried out.

The observation showed that the drug had been moved to different premises in Albania, from where it was possible to seize it yesterday (November 24) in Farka e Madhe in Fier. In total, 14 premises were checked in Tirana, Lushnje, Fier and 10 were arrested, 1 was wanted.

We remind you that 430 kg of cocaine, which if it were released on the market would cost 40 million euros, has been seized, while one of the orderers of this quantity, Zenel Cervanakut from Tirana, has also been arrested.

An operation carried out by SPAK, the Montenegrin authorities and the American DEA led to the arrest of 10 people accused of "structured criminal group", while 1 more is wanted. 

Zenel Cervanaku is thought to be the brother of Viktor Cervanaku, the former mayor of the municipality of Farkull, the latter also arrested, after his apartment in Fier was turned into a drug laboratory.
