The scandal regarding the issue of the sterilization concession deepens, which led to the imprisonment of the former Deputy Minister of Health, Klodian Rjepaj and businessman Ilir Rrapaj , by order of SPAK .

The original sterilization concession contract has disappeared and is not even found in the archives of the Ministry of Health, a fact confirmed by the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office ( SPAK ).

It is expected that this scandal will further expand the investigations into the affair with the sterilization concession.

We remind you that so far 8 officials and businessmen have been officially charged by SPAK for the criminal offenses of corruption, forgery and fraud.

It is learned that the Ministry of Health cannot find the original sterilization contract. SPAK had earlier made the decision to seize the complete original documentary practice of the sterilization concession procedure, but they found themselves in front of an unexpected situation.

"In implementation of this decision, judicial police officers have seized the concession file from the Ministry of Health. It should also be noted that despite all the research in the institution and the archive of the Ministry of Health, the officials of this institution did not find and did not make available the original concession contract or the relevant annexes. The seized documentation is the original of the numbered copy sent by the Ministry of Health in terms of the concession granting procedure with letter number 910/1 dated February 19, 2020," the file states.

This concession was found to be in violation of the criminal offenses of corruption, forgery and fraud, where the economic damage is estimated at 76 million euros to date.

Arrest measures for the 8 accused have been issued since June 23, but their implementation has been delayed until today, casting even more fog around this affair.

We remind you that the former Deputy Minister of Health, Klodian Rjepaj and the businessman Ilir Rrapaj, are behind bars for this affair, as well as 'house arrest' and 'obligation to appear' for 6 officials of the Ministry of Health.
