The pollution of the road on the Kardhiq-Delvina axis has brought a strong reaction from Prime Minister Edi Rama.

In a post on social networks, he shared images of the street polluted by garbage, attracting the attention of citizens. While thanking the municipality of Gjirokastra and ARRSH for its cleaning, Rama informs that the individuals who pollute the streets will be punished by a legal package that will come into force within the deadline of the beginning of next year.

"The new roads are to shorten distances, not to turn into garbage dumps.

Thank you to the Gjirokastër Municipality and ARRSH for engaging in the cleaning of the Kardhiq-Delvina axis, which is frequented by thousands of tourists every day.

And in this great historical turning point for tourism and for the Albanian economy, we will not allow the wild behavior of a few brazen individuals to damage the reborn tourism Albania! A new package of drastic legal penalties for street litterers will enter into force at the beginning of next year at the latest ," Rama wrote on Facebook.
