The moment of arrest

A father and son have been arrested by the police after cultivating 194 cannabis plants near their home in the village of Mezhgoran.

A small portion of the narcotic plants cultivated by Mitat Cani and Ermal Cani, aged 64 and 35 respectively, are seized as material evidence, while the rest is destroyed by burning.

"As a result of the increase in territorial controls, with drones, controls that aim to prevent and crack down on the criminal activity of cultivating narcotic plants, the Tepelena Police Commissariat identified a case in this area.

"Citizens MC, 64 years old, and EC, 35 years old, father and son, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating 194 Cannabis Sativa narcotic plants near their home in the village of Mezhgoran," the police announced.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, for further action.
