Through a request addressed to the institution of execution of criminal decisions Fier, Fredi Beleri, the former mayor of Himarë Municipality, has requested permission to participate in the session of the European Parliament that is taking place in Strasbourg, France, specifically on July 15-20 .

Sentenced to 2 years in prison by the GJKKO, a decision that was also upheld by the Special Appeal, Beleri states in his request that he has 3 months and 14 days left of the sentence and that during his stay in prison Fierit, has implemented the internal regulation of the institution and that he has participated in the rehabilitation programs.

"Based on Article 72 of Law no. 81/2020 "On the rights and treatment of those sentenced to imprisonment and pre-trial detention", the applicant meets the conditions to benefit from paid leave up to 20 days a year, a right which he has never exercised".

This is exactly the argument that Fredi Beleri presents in his request, adding that he has been notified by the European Parliament that he must be present at the session that takes place in Strasbourg on July 15-20.

The request, which is already in Ervin Bush's office, states, among other things, that Bush, as the head of the institution for the execution of criminal decisions, has the authority to review this request.
