The silence of Azgan Mernica, the man who executed in May 2024 with a single bullet, state police officer Novruz Cenalia, has broken the silence.

Then I turned towards him and he turned towards me, I said, "... Don't forget that I'm with people." We exchanged insults with each other at this time. Në lidhje me armën e zjarrit, i hetuari Mërnica ka deklaruar dhe arsyet se pse mbante me vete armën e zjarrit:

"...kur kam dalë nga shtëpia pistoletën e kisha me vete që në mëngjes, pasi mua më është dënuar vëllai im për vrasje dhe ndihesha i kërcënuar, kjo ishte arsyeja që e mbaja me vete armën...”.

Sipas tij ai kishte tre-katër ditë që e kishte gjetur armën e zjarrit dhe e mbante me vete në çantën marsup.

“...Pistoletën e kam hedhur bashkë me çantën gjatë kohës që ecja nëpër kanale, në zonë të pyllëzuar me ferra dhe shkurre...."

Ndërsa, në lidhje me viktimën Novruz Cenaliaj dhe nëse kishte njohje me të, Mërnica ka përshkruar viktimën dhe duke pohuar se ka konstatuar se ai ishte i veshur si polic.

Në përfundim të deklarimeve, i hetuari Mërnica është shprehur se i vjen keq përsa ka ndodhur, ndihet i penduar dhe i kërkon falje familjes së viktimës.
