A working group at the Prisons Directorate has been convened to consider The Request of Fredi Beler, who asks for permission to physically go to the European Parliament as a MEP.
Currently, the working group is considering all possibilities, but permission has not yet been approved, because a person who has received a final sentence is allowed to leave the cell only to attend meetings and not only, only within the territory of the country and not outside.
Fredi Beleri asks permission to go to the European Parliament and no law provides for him to prevent a possible escape.
The Directorate of Prisons is still discussing Fredi Beler's request, and it is not known whether or not there will be approval from Director Klevis Qose.
It was Greek media, including greek state television ERT, that today broadcast a news report where they actually made the permit taken by Beler to go to the EP.
