Before Besnik Hida, Zamir Latif's uncle, who was also killed in 2017 by Laert Haxhiu, was killed, a message was sent through some well-known people in Lushnja that:

For the same reason, on April 20, 2022 in the city of Lushnja, Laert Haxhiu, together with Artan Tafanin, Lulzim Arapin and Dorian Shurdhin, organized and shot a gun to kill Kujtim Meta.

Meta was a close friend of Besnik Hida and worked as a truck driver in Lushnja, without having any criminal record or connection to crime. But just the fact that he accompanied and frequented the members of the Hida family was enough to put him in a red circle by Laert Haxhiu.

Kujtim Meta, while standing in a bar drinking coffee in the "Train Station" area, was shot a total of 8 times by Dorian Shurdhi, but was unable to kill him. According to the witness of the prosecution, in May 2023, Laert Haxhiu also targeted Genci Hida. This person is the brother of Besnik Hida, killed with 16 Kalashnikov bullets in 2019. Artan Tafani has shown that Laert Haxhiu, himself and Kristi Bixheku were involved in the murder of Genci Hida.
