The Berat Prosecutor's Office has requested 25 years in prison for the citizen Byniamin Hajro, known as Bujo Çami, for " premeditated murder " against two people in 1997, a macabre crime that shocked the country.
This was the only event that brought punishment to the capo gang Byniamin Hajro and his men, which is the torture and murder of citizens Arjan Avdullai and Eduart Pema on June 2, 1997.
They were taken hostage, tied with barbed wire in the garage of Bujo Çami's apartment.
They were tortured there for 24 hours.
Bledar Pema, 13 years old at the time, saw the whole scene of how his brother was tortured.
The four persons tied the bodies of Eduart Pema and Arjan Avdullai with a wire to the rear towing hook of a gray Golf car with Berati license plates.
The two corpses were dragged through the neighborhood street that leads to Vakëf Square.
There they douse them with gasoline and set them on fire. The families of the victims did not dare to report.
Years later, Bledar Pema 's testimony put Byniamin Hajro, Kudret Zhuka, Kastriot Frashëri and Gazmend Hoxha in front of the accusation .
