A corsair sentenced to 6 years in prison for a murder that happened 13 years ago has surrendered himself to the customs of Kapshtica, to serve the remaining sentence, namely 4 years, 11 months and 18 days.

It is about the citizen Edison Demiri, who in 2011 in the village of Pojan in Korça, together with Bledian and Marinel Demiri, seriously injured and caused the death of 78-year-old Ali Zeneli.

The announcement of the Korça police:

The Korçë Local Police Directorate executed the decision of the Prosecutor's Office, for the arrest of the wanted citizen Edison Demiri, 39 years old, resident of the village of Pojan, Maliq, who surrendered at the entrance of the Republic of Albania, at the Kapshticë Border Police station.

The Korçë Court of Appeal, with the decision dated 14.11.2023, has sentenced this citizen to 6 years of imprisonment, of which he has 4 years, 11 months and 18 days of imprisonment left to serve, for the criminal offense "Grievous Wound intentionally, resulting in death", carried out in collaboration.

On 25.07.2011, in the village of Pojan, Maliq, this citizen, in cooperation with another citizen, for weak motives, injured and resulted in the death of the citizen AZ, 78 years old, and slightly injured his son. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction.
