The Constitutional Court has announced that it is working to prepare the publication of the decision on the issue of the suspension of Belinda Balluku from the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.
During today's session where the appeal regarding judges' salaries was reviewed, the Constitutional Court also announced that it is working to prepare the final decision on the 'Balluku' case before the 30-day deadline.
We recall that the Constitutional Court, with a 4-4 vote by the judges, dismissed the appeal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who requested the overturning of the Special Court's decision to suspend Balluk.
This meant that Belinda Balluku's suspension from duty remained in effect.
Then Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing this as a dangerous precedent, announced intervention in the legislation so that members of the government cabinet would no longer be suspended by court decisions.
