A representative of the residents of the village of Baks-Rrjoll has issued accusations against justice institutions and warned of an escalation of protests, including a hunger strike in front of SPAK and extreme acts.

The representative emphasizes that they possess historical documents that prove their ownership, including a 1930 land title deed belonging to Ded Gjo Luli, considering this document as their "eastern certificate."

Residents of the Baks-Rrjoll area in Shkodra have been protesting for two weeks over a property conflict, claiming their inherited lands are being unfairly taken from them.

According to them, more than 80 families risk being left without property due to a decision that recognizes ownership to a person named Fatmir Shpëza.

" Thank you for coming to share with us the real situation we have in Baks Rrjoll today. Today is the day, two weeks have passed since we continued with this problem, without any of the state institutions that have, have the duty to provide, such as the prosecution and the courts, providing a solution."

We want to tell you all that we will not leave this land alone. Here I have Santiago, he is the nephew, and he came from England, he left his disabled mother there, because Santiago was born with a European passport and fled Albania at the moment when his mother did not have a medical solution here.

And today Santiago has come because we know that this is the land that he left to them, his grandfather left to him. And he has told everyone that we will not let him go. He said it when he was a child and all the people of our Highlands say it too.

We call on the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, please, handle the file that you have had in your offices for a year. Study it, look at it and speak about the reality and give justice to this people. We call on the court that we have a trial on the 19th, the Administrative Appeals Court in Tirana.

Please, look at the truth and give us our rights. The court will, on that day, only give us a lawsuit guarantee, only to have the proceedings interrupted as soon as its colleagues who are handling the property issue in the various courts speak.

It is in the first court, in appeal, everywhere. Please, the Albanian state, Prime Minister Edi Rama, put your hand on your heart for this people who are only seeking justice.

I call on all international institutions, the embassies of all countries that are in Albania, to look at the situation, to come to the defense of this people, who are not being protected by anyone and whose own state is taking them by the horns.

SPAK, the new justice system, must speak up, react, and take this issue into its own hands. It is not normal for us, 80 families, more than 80 families, we say 80 approximately, but in reality we are much more, to be left without property and only one Mr. Fatmir Shpëza comes to us and tells us that they are our owners of this land, and they tell us, we have not recognized the land that you have always used, because you did not have the eastern certificate.

I have the eastern certificate, I have the title deed of Ded Gjo Luli that I have at home from 1930. Who is that judge who said we did not recognize him? We also have the court decision from 1996 regarding Ded Gjo Luli's property.

What else did the judge need to find Ded Gjo Luli's certificate, which would have given some direction to this issue? I beg the many justice institutions not to become parties to the crime, but to speak the truth.

What will these residents get up to now? This land is not given up easily.

It was the same judge who had to deal with, who gave the property to Fatmir Shpëza, Vojsava Kola. I say it out loud, Vojsava Kola, that she is not a woman, nor is she a mother, nor is she a sister who signed that court decision.

It was the same judge who had to open the trial, she dragged it out, she dragged it out. Fatmir Shpëza has been on trial for a year, we are still in court today. He is from the Malaj tribe, they are our neighbors. Now what can we say to this justice? If he was given a year, why does he continue to drag us out? To continue to give answers.

They say that if there are no facts, but they can't say it, because there is no expert in the Republic of Albania who can come and see our papers, see Fatmir Shpëza's papers and tell us this is Fatmir Shpëza's land, it's not yours.

I hope that justice will speak as the truth is. No, absolutely I do not want to accuse justice, the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, of taking sides. I really hope that they will speak as the law is. I really hope that the judges on Thursday will speak as the reality is.

A lawsuit insurance is the minimum that can be submitted, in a court of law.

We are not asking him for anything, wait for your colleagues to speak, to examine the issue in detail, because he normally will not examine the issue in detail, but he has the right to give it, to leave time for his colleagues to handle the issue. That is all we ask of him ," said the residents.
