Fatal accident in Lezha

A tragic accident occurred in Lezha in the early hours of the morning, where a vehicle fatally hit a pedestrian.

The Traffic Police Services, after rapid investigative actions, have identified and arrested the driver of the vehicle, citizen IM, 46 years old, who had fled the scene.

The incident occurred at around 03:30, at the Rrila intersection, where the driver of the vehicle hit the yet unidentified pedestrian, who lost his life as a result of the impact. Police have launched verifications to identify the victim and clarify the circumstances of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and is being held in custody, while investigations into the incident continue.
