Prime Minister Edi Rama has come out in direct support of Mirlinda Karçanaj, the former director of AKSHI, accused by SPAK of tender abuses.
The head of government, in introducing the new director, Igli Tafa , publicly thanked her for her many years of contribution to public administration and strongly condemned the attacks against her.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Karçanaj was one of the most committed figures at work, describing her as "the first to come to work and the last to leave."
"First of all, I wanted to come personally to thank Linda Karcanajna, who has worked with me for 2 decades, since we were in the municipality of Tirana. I know her as a person dedicated to the function and public service in this country. You know her and I believe you share the opinion that Linda was the first to come to work and the last to leave. I am saddened by everything she is going through, by the barbaric aggression of portals and networks of verbal violence, which associate her with things that have nothing to do with Linda," said Rama.
He stated that he has no knowledge of the companies involved in the Special Prosecution's investigation.
"I do not go into the merits of the case in question, I am not aware of details related to the activity of these companies involved in an investigation, but I am aware of the fact that Linda is a single mother with two children. She has a most excellent career. With all the high-level partners of AKSHI, Microsoft, etc. I have heard the most enthusiastic words and extraordinary impressions about you and Linda Karcanaj. She is in a quagmire from which I believe she will come out clean, but it is up to justice to say this. This cannot mean that the values ??she has created and the revolution are rejected," said Rama.
