The Special Prosecution Office has read the final conclusions, requesting the conviction of 7 Tirana Municipality officials in the framework of "File 5D" which was tried under ordinary procedure.
SPAK requested the punishment of 3 directors of the Municipality and 4 other citizens, representatives of the Municipality and the company "5D", namely:
Redi Molla 11 years in prison, additional sentence of ban on exercising public functions for 5 yearsMariglen Qato 9 years in prison, additional sentence of ban on exercising public functions for 5 years
Taulant Tusha , 4 years in prison, additional sentence: ban on exercising public functions for 5 years
Albano Janku , 2 years, additional sentence: ban on exercising public functions for 5 years
Enton Punavija , 3 years in prison, additional sentence: ban on exercising public functions for 5 years
Julian Zanaj, 3 years in prison, additional sentence: ban on exercising public functions for 5 years
Nestor Muhametllari, 7 years in prison, additional sentence of ban on exercising public functions for 5 years. The only one in prison from the above names is Mariglen Qato.
They are accused of corruption, money laundering and failure to declare assets. Redi Molla and Mariglen Qato , SPAK says, were the "de facto" owners of the company 5D Konstruksion sh.pk, using fictitious owners, while in this file sent for trial alone they received 12 tenders, benefiting around 2 million euros in the period 2016-2020.
Previously, the Special Court found guilty and sentenced four of the defendants who were tried in a separate trial for the "5D" case, but who will not serve a single day in prison.
The director of the multi-sports club, Deborah Keçi , along with three members of the bid evaluation committee, Teuta Guri, Jetjon Mera and Renaldo Gjerazi, were sentenced to probation for violating the equality of tender participants.
According to SPAK, they created conditions and privileged the "5D" company of the directors of the Municipality of Tirana in order to be declared the winner in tender procedures.
