Dylber Shuli from the village of Gurras in Pogradec has been waiting for almost 12 years in the hope that one day he will see his grandchildren return home from Syria.

The 90-year-old's son, Krenari, along with his wife and 3 children, left Albania in October 2013 for Syria, where they gave birth to another child.

They later lost their lives while their children continue to be in the camp. Eva Dumani's return to Albania has led Dylber to once again appeal for the return of her family members.

After the death of his son and daughter-in-law, he says that the burden fell on his eldest daughter Elona, ??who had to take care of the other 3 children, and then she also became the mother of a son. 

For years, Elona has maintained communication with her family members, whom she has asked for help from. Dylberi says his only request is to see them fill the yard once again.

Every day that passes for Dylber is a waiting, with the only desire to see his grandchildren return to their home and end the nightmare that has lasted for more than a decade./ tch
